Nanci Bell Honored as One of Top 50 Women in Business

San Luis Obispo, Calif., April 29, 2008 – Nanci Bell, Director and Co-Founder of Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, was recently honored as one of the "Top 50 Women in Business" in the Tri-County area by The Pacific Coast Business Times. The special issue "Top 50 Women in Business", published on March 21st, recognized outstanding women business leaders who are making a difference in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.

This is the third annual issue published by the Pacific Coast Business Times and Nanci was chosen from among 90 nominees in the Tri-County area. Nanci and the other honorees were also recognized in an awards ceremony on April 10th at the Double Tree Resort in Santa Barbara, where they were presented with awards from The Pacific Coast Business Times, as well as California State Assembly members Pedro Nava and Audra Strickland. Lindamood-Bell is frequently listed in the Pacific Coast Business Times as one of the Tri-County's largest private employers with nearly 150 employees locally and 1,500 employees worldwide.

Nanci Bell, MA, is the author of critically acclaimed educational programs including Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking®, Seeing Stars®, On Cloud Nine® Math, and Talkies®. She is recognized for pioneering the research that connects mental imagery to reading and language skills, and is a renowned speaker at international research conferences, including those of the International Dyslexia Association and the Learning Disabilities Association.
