Lindamood-Bell and Perry County School District No. 32 Partnership: Initial Results are Positive

Perryville, MO, June 14, 2011 – This is the first year of implementation of a Lindamood-Bell Professional Learning Community (PLC) in Perryville. Evidence-based Lindamood-Bell^® programs and processes were implemented to improve student performance. Three schools participated: Perryville Elementary, Middle and High School. The main focus was on Tier 3 intervention at the elementary and middle school. Project highlights include all Perryville Elementary School classroom teachers, Principal and Assistant Principal attending the Lindamood-Bell Seeing Stars^® and Visualizing and Verbalizing^® workshops. Perryville Elementary provided 90 minutes of daily instruction for Tier 3 students. Perryville Middle School’s Principal and Vice Principal also attended the same workshops. The initial results look promising.
