Does Lindamood-Bell have adult learning centers? Absolutely. All Lindamood-Bell Learning Centers provide sensory-cognitive instruction for adults over the age of 18. Whether you or someone you know is finishing high school, struggling to keep up with college courses, consistently confused at work or in social situations, or even recovering from a traumatic brain injury, Lindamood-Bell Learning Centers can help.
With our unique style of intensive, differentiated instruction, Lindamood-Bell Learning Centers offer much more than just reading programs for adults. From the very beginning, Lindamood-Bell instruction focuses on finding the most effective ways to make each student comfortable, confident, and excited to continue learning.
For adults, Learning Center instruction begins with a learning ability evaluation. Students undergo a standardized battery of assessments to determine their strengths and weaknesses in reading, comprehension, and math. From the results of these evaluations, we are able to develop learning plans that are specific to each individual.
We offer oral and written language comprehension programs for adults who struggle with communication, following directions, or keeping up with stories and conversations. These comprehension programs are also effective for adults exhibiting symptoms of autism spectrum disorders.
We offer phonemic awareness and reading programs for adults who struggle with decoding, spelling, or recognizing words in print. These reading programs are also effective for adults exhibiting symptoms of dyslexia.
We offer a math program for adults who struggle with basic computation, applying math concepts, or solving word problems.
We also offer a few specialized programs for college and high school students who just want academic enrichment or help with coursework and assignments.
If you know of someone who has difficulty learning, we strongly encourage you to take the following steps:
