Dear Friends,

My name is Beary Green, and as the official spokes-bear, I am happy to announce that Lindamood-Bell is Greening our Learning Scene!!

This summer I decided to form a Green Team at each Learning Center to help implement the innovative ways in which we can reduce our impact on the environment. By incorporating these ideas and communicating them throughout our community, we can make a healthy and happy world for the children of tomorrow.

I'm pleased to report that our Greening will begin with the following elements:

1. Naturally-derived cleaning products
2. Printing our materials on recycled paper
3. Recycle bins in every department and at every desk
4. Corporate Carpooling
5. Video Conferencing
6. Recycled bathroom and kitchen paper products
7. Replacing water coolers with tap water filters
8. Replacing incandescent light bulbs with Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL's)
9. Adorning each desk with a plant, therefore improving Center air quality
10. Only eating honey that is locally harvested

Although this is a good start, I know that we have quite a trek ahead of us. I invite you to join our Green Team as we move together towards a healthier tomorrow. We have created a Green Team link on the Lindamood-Bell® website, and you'll find a Beary Green suggestion box at each Learning Center where you can share your ideas and suggestions.

As a good friend once told me. "Together we can do this, together we can do anything!"
